Dedication services were held July 11, 1976, for the Tri-state Christian Service Camp, a new camp site for the Church of Christ in the area comprising Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia. Dr. J.T. Segroves, president of the Eastern Christian College, Bel Air, Md., gave the dedication address to an estimated crowd of 480. Also participating in the program were Kenneth Littleford and Nathan Williamson of Winchester.

The Tri-State Christian Service Camp was formed in 1956, and held its first season at a boys camp, which they rented for two weeks, near Berkeley Springs, W.Va. John Thomas, formerly of Winchester, and then preaching at Paw Paw, W.Va., and Nathan Williamson of Winchester, pioneered in establishing the camp. Among those serving on the staff, recreation program, and as dieticians and cooks, are Nathan Williamson, minister of the Church of Christ on Valley Ave., Roy and Nola McCabe, and Pearl Sharp of Paw Paw, W.Va.

The original plot of land for the present location was donated by Clovis Bucher and his wife, May, of Strasburg, formerly of Winchester, and is situated on Cedar Creek, off Route 623, just over the Frederick County Line into Shenandoah County.

The facilities include a large dining hall and modern kitchen; a large pavilion; shower facilities; four cabins for housing campers and staff; shelters for classes; vesper area; and areas for recreational activities. A modern septic system was installed, large enough to accommodate a greater number of campers than presently enrolled.

Since 1976, many changes have come to Tri-State Christian Service Camp. Many of the old buildings have been upgraded and new buildings added over the years. We now have boys and girls dormitories that can hold up to 160 campers and staff members per week. The mattresses were replaced two years ago with vinyl covered mattresses for cleanliness and comfort. Our kitchen and dining hall were remodeled and modernized with air conditioning, a new heat system, walk-in refrigerator and freezer, and a cooks' sleeping quarters. Our missions cabin was expanded to include the old storage room and garage as sleeping facilities with bathrooms. We have converted the old chapel to store camp tools and equipment along with rewiring the electric. There are so many changes, they are too numerous to list, but they have all been provided by our dedicated churches and volunteers who gave of their time, talents, and treasures to support the ministry of Tri-State. Our biggest and most exciting update since adopting the name Cedar Creek Christian Camp is the updated and rebuilt pool. We thank you because we could not accomplish what we have done, what we are doing, and what we are about to do without you! Looking forward, we are currently researching how to maximize the usage of the camp for the Glory of God.
